Purpose

This scorecard helps churches, teams, families, and individuals evaluate how well they are listening to, loving, and living within the culture they are called to reach. Contextualization is incarnation — making the gospel visible and understandable through humility, presence, and grace.

Use Section 1 for personal coaching, spiritual direction, or discipleship. Use Section 2 with staff, leadership teams, or mission planners.

Rate each statement from 1 to 5. This is a mirror for grace, not a scorecard for performance.

Reflect
  • Where am I noticing cultural patterns or needs around me?
  • Where is God inviting me to see with greater compassion and depth?
  • What assumptions about others or ministry need to be reframed?
  • What small shift could help me live more contextually this week?
  • Who have I seen embody Jesus well in our shared culture, and how can I celebrate that?
Monthly Reframing Reflection
  • What stories or conversations revealed a deeper cultural need or opportunity this month?
  • Where did I live the gospel clearly — and where did I retreat or rush?
  • What internal narrative do I need to reframe in light of the incarnation?
  • Where is God calling me to dwell more deeply — in body, presence, and grace?
